The Joys and Challenges of Trail Running: A Guide to Exploring Nature on Foot

I was never really a runner. In fact, I actively avoided running for most of my life. But then, a friend bet me that I couldn't run a half marathon. And, being the competitive person that I am, I took the bet. I started training on the roads, but quickly got bored with the monotony of running in circles.

Needless to say, I quickly ran away, flapping my arms like a madman.
